Homeless Woman Pleads Guilty to Murdering Hollywood Consultant and Social Justice Warrior Michael Latt

A homeless woman who was stalking another man has pleaded guilty to breaking into the victim’s home and killing Hollywood film consultant and social justice activist Michael Latt in 2023.

Jamilah Elena Mihir, 36, was reportedly planning to attack film director AV Rockwell when she broke into the home of Michael Latt in November. Rockwell, a friend of the victim, was not at the Latt home at the time of the attack.

Mihir is accused of forcing his way into Lat’s home after the 33-year-old opened the front door, then pulling out a handgun and shooting Lat in the head.

Prosecutors say the defendant had been stalking Rockwell for several months and writing threatening letters. The director also obtained a protection order against the woman.

Mihir pleaded not guilty earlier this year but has now Pleaded He was found guilty of first-degree murder and other charges, according to Fox News.

Latto, who comes from a wealthy Hollywood family, is the founder of Lead with Love, an entertainment marketing consulting firm that works to empower black performers and other “underrepresented” artists. The victim’s father is Hollywood film producer David Latto and her mother is Michelle Sutter, founder and senior director of the Sundance Institute.

Victim has collaborated with many actors and filmmakers, including Common, Ryan Coogler, Ava DuVernay, and Barry Jenkins, most recently in Martin Scorsese’s Western blockbuster ” Killer of the Flower Moon.

The entertainment consultant said he plans to dedicate his life to social justice.

The incident stunned Lat’s friends and colleagues, with many taking to social media to leave messages of tribute to the man they called a “social justice warrior.”

Latt’s father, David Latt, is a film producer and his brother is head of talent at CAA.
