Homeowner Responds to Nighttime Intruder in Raleigh

A homeowner in Raleigh, North Carolina, reported a startling midnight encounter. He was preparing for bed when he heard loud kicks at his door. Surprised, he went into the living room only to find an intruder waiting for him.

“If someone breaks into your home, you have to protect yourself,” the homeowner later told the police, emphasizing the gravity of the situation. He pulled out his gun, warning the intruder to leave. Instead of retreating, the intruder charged at him.

In a split-second decision, the homeowner fired his weapon. Upon the arrival of Raleigh police, they found 26-year-old Christian Beasley suffering from a gunshot wound.
