An Indianapolis homeowner shot and killed a man who was trying to steal his portable generator Tuesday morning.
WTHR report It is believed that the man broke into the house and tried to take the generator from inside. The homeowner shot him and then took him into police custody.
The homeowner said the man allegedly put his hands in his pockets when he confronted them, leading the homeowner to believe the man may have been armed.
fox 59 Quote “When I confronted him about the generator, he put it in his pocket as if to pull out a weapon, so I shot him in the leg to stop him,” the homeowner said.
The suspect told police he obtained permission to enter the home and remove the generator.
On February 20, 2024, Breitbart News reported that a Texan shot and killed a man who allegedly stole a barbecue pit.
fox 26 It pointed out The homeowner pursued the suspect and “when the homeowner got out of his vehicle and confronted the suspect’s vehicle, he believed the driver of the vehicle may have recovered the murder weapon,” police said. At that point, the owner of the barbecue place shot and killed the alleged thief.
