About damn time!
Gonzaga is joining the Pac-12, and all of their sports will be involved with the move beginning in July 2026, according to an announcement Tuesday from the conference.
The Pac-12, which has gone under dramatic changes due to realignment, brings in Gonzaga who has a rich history when it comes to college basketball. The Zags program has made it to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA men’s tournament nine straight times. Conversations between Gonzaga and the Pac-12 heated up in the last few days, according to a report from ESPN. In basketball, the Zags program brings the conference a ton of value in terms of media representation due to being in the upper echelon of the sport. Since 1999, Gonzaga has qualified for every single March Madness tournament, making 25 consecutive. The school also has two Final Four appearances.
Gonzaga is now the eighth member of the Pac-12, joining Boise State, Colorado State, Fresno State, Oregon State, San Diego State, Utah State and Washington State. With that being said, because of the Zags not having a football team, the conference will still need member No. 8 in the sport to meet minimum thresholds.

I like how Gonzaga waited to join a power conference AFTER it got depleted … clout without the risk, creative.
