Horace Cooper Identifies the Democrat Who Gains the Most from a 'Cancer Overtaking the World’s Oldest Political Party'

Concerns About AOC’s Influence in the Democratic Party

Horace Cooper from Project 2021 expressed his concerns on Fox News’ “Hannity,” suggesting that Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, the New York MP, might be taking a dominant role in the Democratic Party. He described this influence as potentially “cancerous,” warning that the party lacks proper leadership to counter radical ideas.

Cooper’s remarks followed Ocasio-Cortez’s hints about her ambitions for the 2028 presidential election or a Senate run. During the segment, Fox guest host Charles Hart pointed out that she seems to be asserting control over the party and asked Cooper for his thoughts. Cooper responded, emphasizing that the party desperately needs guidance as radical views have begun to spread rapidly among its members.

“It’s very concerning,” he noted, suggesting that Ocasio-Cortez’s approach could co-opt the party’s traditional values, potentially positioning her for nomination.

Recently, Ocasio-Cortez faced criticism from Republicans after accusing Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk of being “uneducated” during a speech on the House floor. While 58 Democrats supported honoring Kirk as a “courageous American patriot,” Ocasio-Cortez voted against the resolution, which drew backlash.

Since the Trump administration began, she’s consistently confronted the government on various issues, particularly concerning immigration policies affecting many voters, including undocumented immigrants. For instance, she has previously addressed concerns regarding conditions in New Jersey’s detention facilities.

In a recent social media post, Ocasio-Cortez highlighted issues within the immigration system, describing instances of problematic actions by officials. In addition, there have been instances where Democrats have guided undocumented immigrants on how to interact with ICE agents.

Warnings have surfaced from figures like Tom Homan of Border Patrol, cautioning that her rhetoric could lead to severe consequences, including arrests for lawmakers who infringe upon ICE agents’ duties.

Interestingly, current projections suggest Ocasio-Cortez holds an 11% chance of securing a Democratic nomination, trailing behind California Governor Gavin Newsom, who is at 36% probability, according to recent analysis.
