Hot food trends for 2025 are unveiled in new restaurant group report

A new report from the National Restaurant Association says restaurant patrons expect to see mushrooms, locally grown ingredients, hot honey and value on menus by 2025.

The 2025 Hot Cuisine Forecast, released Wednesday, predicted some of the trends that will hit restaurants in the near future.

Chad Mautray, vice president of the Washington, D.C.-based National Restaurant Association, said in a statement provided to Fox News Digital that “this year's predictions point toward a direction that promotes both individual health and the health of the planet.” “It highlights powerful changes.”

The recipe is a “Hawaiian classic” using teriyaki short ribs instead of canned meat.

According to the forecast, the top predicted trend is “sustainability and local sourcing,” followed by cold brew coffee.

In 2025, warm honey, spicy Asian dishes and fermented foods could also be on the menu.
