The US House Committee is investigating the previous Biden administration, which allegedly funded a protest aimed at ousting Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and further investigations may be approaching.
As Breitbart News noted in 2023, the US State Department was “financing Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Israeli left-wing organisations that were helping to promote anti-government protests aimed at defeating judicial reforms.” The report cited a free beacon in Washington. It has been reported The US taxpayer funds were given to the quality government movement (MQG) that helped lead the fight against Netanyahu on the courts and on the streets with a clear goal of banishing him.
Well, Liel Leibovitz I’m writing in Wall Street Journaltwo separate House committees are further investigated.
As the editorial committee of the journal Reportthe Biden State Department and the US International Development Agency have directly and indirectly transferred tens of millions of dollars to Israeli non-governmental organizations that work to overthrow the Netanyahu government. Two House committees are investigating how US funding for six of these groups was used. This is also true as federal funding for foreign organizations can become a nuisance bush to navigate. The investigator will require that you try to check exactly what the funds were designated for and whether they were properly applied. However, publicly available records tell a questionable story. Many of the organizations that received funding from the Biden administration played a key role in the movement to free Netanyahu.
Take Itacac Ma’aki, or a female social justice lawyer. The group received more than $8,000 in 2023 from the US Embassy in Jerusalem. It was designated as a development project in Negev, a desert in southern Israel. That same year, the group helped recreate the protests of America’s “handmade tales” in Israel. Photo Israel, an organization dedicated to “promotion of the art of photography in Israel and abroad,” received nearly $80,000 from USAID in 2024 from USAID for its photography program, which it states to be motivated by “social and community activities.” Photo Israel’s recent activities include “Protest from Heaven,” an exhibition celebrating the anti-Netanyahu movement.
Sikkuy-Aufoq, a nonprofit that works for “equality and partnership” between Jews and Arabs, received more than $1 million in State Department funding between 2021 and 2024. Sikkuy-Aufoq organized demonstrations and litigation targeting Netanyahu’s government and its policies.
This was not the first attempt by the Democratic administration to interfere in Israeli politics. As Breitbart News pointed out, in 2015, “The State Department spent $465,000 on a group called OneVoice.” Participation A group called Victory 15 (v15) worked to defeat Netanyahu and his Likud party in Israeli elections. ”
Breitbart News contacted Senate staff to determine whether the Senate would conduct its own investigation and oversight of the Biden administration’s spending on Netanyahu’s ouster.
