Wes Moore joins military family support

Governor of Maryland Wes Moore (D) was appointed the first Honorary Chair of the newly created initiative. Strengthening support for military families. The initiative, called “Do Your Part: State Leadership in Support of Military Families,” was created by the National Governors Association and the nonprofit organization Blue Star Families.

The toolkit encourages states and organizations to work together to develop policies that benefit military families and advocate for change at the state and federal levels.
“Supporting military families is not just the right thing to do, it's essential to our nation's security and future,” Moore said in a statement. “By providing them with the resources and community support they need, service members can focus on their mission, knowing their families are taken care of.”
