House GOP Leadership Unified Behind Donald Trump with Tom Emmer’s Endorsement

House Majority Whip Tom Emmer (R-Minn.) endorsed Donald Trump on Wednesday morning, the last member of the Republican House leadership team to endorse the president.

“Democrats have made it clear they intend to use any means necessary to keep Joe Biden and his failed policies in power. We cannot forgive them,” his statement on X The statement reads:

“The time has come for the Republican Party to unite behind our party's clear front-runner, which is why I am proud to endorse Donald J. Trump for president.”

Emmer's endorsement comes a day after Majority Leader Steve Scalise (R-Louisiana), who said in a statement, “He has a proven track record of saving the country and getting us back on track.” There's only Donald Trump.”

With the addition of Emmer and Scalise, Trump now has the support of the top five House Republican leaders.

House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-Louisiana) endorsed President Trump “wholeheartedly” days after accepting the gavel during an appearance on CNBC's “Squawk Box” in November.

Republican Conference Chairwoman Elise Stefanik (R-N.Y.) endorsed Trump in November 2022, before officially entering the race. That same month, she told Breitbart News that “Republican voters decide who is the leader of the Republican Party, and it's clear that President Trump is the leader of the Republican Party.” explained.

Policy Committee Chairman Gary Palmer (R-Ala.) endorsed President Trump ahead of the presidential rally in Alabama in August 2023.

Notably, former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) endorsed Trump in December. Mr. McCarthy resigned from Congress on the last day of 2023.

The Iowa caucuses will be held on January 15th. Opinion polls show former President Trump holding an overwhelming lead.
