On Friday, Rep. Jordan (R-Ohio) said Fulton County Prosecutor Fani Willis sent a letter to the person accused of having an affair with Nathan J. Wade, asking for their cooperation “for purposes of oversight.” I asked for it.
“Recent reports indicate that you have documents and information in your possession regarding the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office (FCDAO)’s coordination with other politically motivated investigations and prosecutions, and the potential misuse of federal funds. I think about it,” Jordan wrote.
In August 2023, Willis indicted former President Donald Trump and numerous associates on charges of attempting to invalidate Georgia's 2020 election results.
“While Mr. Willis has thus far refused to cooperate with our oversight of other politically motivated prosecutions and coordination of the FCDAO, this court will not be able to comply with your submission for payment by the FCDAO.” The invoices released as part of the filing highlight this collusion,” Jordan wrote.
Mr. Wade was one of the people Mr. Willis hired to assist in the investigation and subsequent prosecution of Mr. Trump.
Earlier this week, Trump's co-defendant Michael Roman and his legal representative Ashley Merchant withdrew a court complaint accusing Willis of having a “personal romantic relationship” with Wade. .
Roman further claims that Willis and Wade benefited financially from their alleged relationship.
“According to recent court filings, you were paid more than $650,000 at an hourly rate of $250 to serve as an 'attorney consultant' and then as a 'special assistant district attorney' in an unprecedented investigation and prosecution. “The president and other former federal officials,'' Jordan wrote. “The filing also alleges that you received large sums of money from Fulton County while spending lavishly on lavish vacations with her boss, Ms. Willis.”
