The tapestry grows longer, stretching out into the dark unknown. From the beginning, the history of House Targaryen (pureblood or not), their dragons, and the wild and strange happenings of Westeros have been woven into it. House of the Dragon Opening. In this second and final episode, the series sheds light on its own future. hot Of course, this will continue after season 3. However, as the years pass, the events that occur in people’s futures will also change dramatically. game of thrones – A look back at times past and future: Winter always comes in Westeros, whether it’s 130 AD or 200 years in the future.

At Harrenhal, Daemon’s army is being assembled and his swords sharpened. There are enough pigs stored in Harrenhal’s storehouses to feed Karax. They are ready to march. But stumbling on bloody weirwood sap finally changes Daemon’s perspective. “You have always sought to control your own destiny,” Alys Rivers tells him in the godsgrove. “Today you are ready.” And Daemon’s latest vision shows him a future he never expected but that we already know: Daenerys Targaryen and the miraculous birth of her baby dragon. A terrifying side to the feared White Walkers. (Yees! One side is enough!) A man with a scar on his face. This is a younger version of Brynden Rivers, the dragon seer “Three-Eyed Raven.” get Age – A comet streaks across the sky. Dead dragons, fallen armies. And most surprising to Daemon? Rhaenyra sits on the Iron Throne as Queen.
Daemon now sees his late brother, the king, understanding the future, and when Rhaenyra flies to Harrenhal on the back of a dragon and asks the question that’s been ambiguous all season: “To whom do you swear?”, he kneels as do his men. There’s even a bit of quiet humor as they touch hands; when Rhaenyra warns him never to leave her side, Matt Smith gives Daemon a mischievous smile and a funny shrug. “I couldn’t. I tried.”

But who was the other person who appeared in Daemon’s vision? It was Helena Targaryen, the one who told her uncle that it was all a story, and that he knew his part. House of the Dragon Cut to Helayna at the Red Keep, it was as if she was communal with a demon in an actual vision time. Wait, like Rey and Kylo Ren’s Force dyad? Maybe so, but other things Helayna will reveal going forward may be even more significant. After her humiliation at the hands of Team Black’s dragons in Episode 7, Helayna is interrupted from her reverie by Aemond, who has just finished burning down the innocent city of Sharppoint, not only does she refuse to ride the beast Dreamfire to the battle, but she also reveals that she knows all about his betrayal at Lucrest. “You’re going to burn me like you did to Aegon? I saw it. You burned him. And I defeated him.” Helayna is still with Aemond. “Aegon will be king again. And you… you will die.”
Will the reckless and violent one-eyed Prince Regent Aemond really die in battle with a dragon on the waters of the mystical Lake of the Eye of God, as George R.R. Martin predicted? Fire and Bloodit is hot That will be resolved in Season 3. But the series deviates from the books in another way that feels crucial: With six dragons at her side, Rhaenyra is under pressure from Lord Corliss and others to seize the tactical advantage. But just as she commands her dragonseed riders to “take the usurper’s strongholds, Oldtown and Lannisport, and all their armies,” Alicent appears alone in the halls of Dragonstone, clad in a blue cloak, and proposes to the woman who was once her childhood friend.
“I… misunderstood,” Alicent begins. Frowning and silent, Rhaenyra folds her arms and says, “Yes, I hear you.” Her time outside the walls has proven that Alicent has no desire to rule King’s Landing; not to mention her experiences in Season 2 within the Red Keep, where she was constantly overlooked and belittled by men and their schemes. “I live“I will take my daughter and her child and leave it all behind, to be free from this endless intrigue and strife,” Alicent suggested, theoretically ending the current Targaryen feud. Three days later, when Aemond rides on Vhagar to the battlefields of the Riverlands to meet Ser Criston Cole and Ser Gwaine Hightower, Alicent will have Heleana’s blessing and make King’s Landing an open city. If Heleana agrees, Rhaenyra can take the Iron Throne. Without bloodshed.
“You came here thinking you would be forgiven?” It’s an incredible scene, opening and closing the secret meeting in Season 2 Episode 4. Now it’s Rhaenyra, slipping behind the Green Team’s defenses. Even if she personally urges this path of deterrence, she is not one to give in easily. She reminds Alicent of her words at the Temple (“It’s too late…”). And as the stakes of the current conflict prove, decisive action is needed if the royals are to seize the throne. “We must take Aegon’s head,” Rhaenyra says.
“You know,” she says, giving Alicent a choice: “Make a sacrifice. A son for a son.”

Season 2 House of the Dragon It ends with the two queens coming to an agreement; a shot of Rhaenyra surrounded by countless scrolls of Westeros’ history, and Alicent against the backdrop of vast lands and skies; and they may each get what they want. But a lot can happen in “Three Days.” And it shouldn’t be bloodless. The big battle we thought would end this season is instead a battle everyone is irreversibly marching towards. The newly appointed dragonriders are equipped with orders. Lord Corlys and his first mate and estranged bastard son, Arryn of Hal, are ready to take the war to the seas. Troops pledged to Team Black and Team Green are marching. And in the Riverlands, Criston Cole is having a crisis of conscience similar to that of his former lover, Alicent. “The dragons dance and the people are as dust under their feet. All our efforts are for nothing. We are now marching towards extinction.”
HOT D:
- There’s one missing detail in Alicent and Rhaenyra’s deal: “A son for a son” requires that the son’s head be present and available for severed, which Aegon’s isn’t. Weakened but now able to speak coherently, Aegon listened to Rarys Strong give reasons for fleeing King’s Landing; once the factional fighting had died down, Aegon could return as a welcome conqueror (“Aegon, joy of the realm,” the burned usurper imagined with glee). When we last saw them, Rarys had loaded Aegon into a prison cart and had him whisked out of town unannounced.
- “The Sea Serpent will rue the day we meet again!” We can’t wait to see what havoc Abigail Thorne will wreak as Trinity Admiral Shalako Rohor. hot Season 3. Admiral Rohol, who appeared in episode 8 and challenged Tyrande Lannister to fight in the mud and have sex with his wives, eventually agrees to commit himself and his captains to the Green Team’s cause. She has unfinished business with Lord Corliss. Is that thin strip of ocean called the Gullet bracing for a fierce naval battle to come?
- With the appearance of a big dragon this season, hot Perhaps the most interesting episode was saved for last. After wandering the glens alone in search of drinking water and further evidence of wild dragons in the region, Lady Rhaena Targaryen finally encounters the beast in another dragon’s hail of fire. Rhaena had previously been rejected by a dragon and nearly lost her life, but when she runs toward this dragon, the beast does not immediately scorch her.
