Much to the dismay of conservatives who had called for spending cuts, the House passed a $1.2 trillion government funding bill just hours before the shutdown deadline. The package will provide funding to the government until the end of the financial year (September 30).
But it’s not just the astronomical costs that conservatives are angry about. There are also major problems with the actual content of the bill.
“$500 million” out of $1.2 trillion [is] “Assigned to the Defense Security Cooperation Agency, it will support the Jordanian Armed Forces and strengthen security along the border,” Glenn said.
The bill also allocates funds to LGBTQ+ projects, including developing “new pants for kids” in communities, an effort Glenn Beck humorously calls “Grooming, Bondage, and Tuck.” Ta.
“There are a lot of LGBTQ kids who don’t wear pants, because that’s the way things are in America right now. They don’t wear pants,” he scoffed.
moreover,” [Glenn] I didn’t even know there were organizations that were making billions of dollars” — agencies like the U.S. Agency for International Development were “just an arm of the CIA,” he says.
The organization “funds all over the world, and it gives money to what the CIA thinks is right, not what it actually thinks is right,” he explains.
One senator sent Glenn the following message after the bill passed: “Glenn, we’re going to hell with our handbags.”
Glenn wholeheartedly agrees.
“If you don’t turn things around by the fall, I’m sorry, gang. I hate to say it, but you’re not going to recover from all of this.”
