House Republicans on the House Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic are questioning Dr. Anthony Fauci in closed session Monday and Tuesday. The focus will be on “pandemic-era” failures, said Rep. Brad Wenstrup (R-Ohio), the committee's chairman.
Committee members are expected to question Fauci about a number of missteps surrounding the coronavirus pandemic, including his participation in questioning the theory that the coronavirus arose from a lab leak.

The subcommittee shared a photo on social media of four boxes, presumably filled with questions.
“For the first time since retiring from public service, Dr. Anthony Fauci will appear before Congress,” the statement said.
“@COVIDSelect has prepared over 200 pages of questions and approximately 100 exhibits,” the committee continued.
“Two days, 14 hours. Serious work requires serious answers,” he added.

Mr. Wenstrup echoed that sentiment: daily mail, Says“Americans are demanding and deserve an explanation for every pandemic-era failure.”
“This is an opportunity for Dr. Fauci to explain his position on COVID-19 policy. His honest and transparent testimony over the next two days will help improve our nation's public health response going forward. “is extremely important,” he added.

Of course, Fauci will appear before members of Congress to confront notorious Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) in November 2021 about changing the definition of gain-of-function research to suit his own purposes. This isn't the first time I've done it. .
Paul famously told Fauci during the hearing:
They're just saying it doesn't exist because they changed the definition on the NIH website. This is terrible, and it completely takes away from the idea that anything should be done to prevent the pandemic from leaking out of the lab. And what you've done is basically changed the definition of a website to try to cover your butt. That's what you did. We have made changes to our website to change our definition to not include ongoing risky research. We can't go anywhere until you admit it's dangerous. It must be acknowledged that this research involves risks. The NIH is reprimanding them now, and your own agency is reprimanding them, too. You say they got sick, but you still don't want to admit that they are functioning better. They became more lethal. It's a new virus. Isn't that a gain of function?
“We cannot prevent further leaks of this dangerous experiment until you accept responsibility. You will not admit that it is dangerous. And given that lack of judgment, it is time for you to resign. I think it's here,'' Paul told Fauci, then director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases.
