House Republicans Seek To Speak With Biden’s Leading Doctor About Significant Controversy

House Republicans have ramped up their inquiries directed at former President Joe Biden’s doctors and key staff regarding alleged cognitive decline and the notable use of autopen for significant decisions.

James Komer, the chairman of the House Oversight Committee, sent a letter on Thursday requesting a transcribed interview with Dr. Kevin O’Connor and four other top aides.

The committee is delving into concerns about the president’s mental faculties and whether his close advisors have been making crucial choices behind the scenes, as stated by the Kentucky Republican.

The letter outlines that the following aides are to appear for the interview scheduled for early June: O’Connor; Nira Tanden, former head of the National Council of Policy; Anthony Vernal, former senior advisor to the First Lady; Annie Tomasini, former deputy director; and Ashley Williams, a former special assistant overseeing Oval Office operations.

“The concealment of President Biden’s clear mental deterioration is a significant scandal,” Comer remarked. “The American public deserves clarity on when this decline commenced, its extent, and who has been making vital decisions on his behalf.”

Comer had previously invited Tomasini, Vernal, and Williams to testify in July 2024 after Biden’s performance in the presidential debate raised questions about his consistency and clarity.

However, the Biden administration has resisted the subpoena.

Efforts to reach O’Connor and Vernal for comments were unsuccessful, and responses from Tanden, Tomasini, and Williams were not immediately available.

This letter follows a surprising announcement from Biden’s private office stating that the former president is battling progressive prostate cancer that has metastasized to his bones. Some medical professionals suggest that the cancer has likely been advancing for years, sparking more concerns regarding the potential concealment of Biden’s health issues.

Dr. O’Connor previously provided three public health reports, which notably did not address any screenings for prostate cancer.

According to a statement released Tuesday, Biden’s most recent prostate-specific antigen (PSA) test occurred in 2014.

“President Biden’s last PSA test was conducted in 2014,” a statement confirmed. “He had never been diagnosed with prostate cancer until Friday.”

This statement originated from the Biden office, not from O’Connor or any of the other doctors involved.

Comer noted that Biden’s frequent use of the autopen raises questions surrounding the validity of certain executive orders, including a preemptive pardon for his son, Hunter Biden, along with his brother James, wife Sarah, sister Valerie, and brother Francis.

On January 19, 2025, the amnesty issued by Biden bore a uniform signature across all documents, as revealed in an analysis.

Comer stated, “The ongoing challenges will be met with quick and resolute action,” in his remarks on Thursday.
