Anne Hathaway’s Secret Pregnancy During “The Devil Wears Prada 2” Press Tour

Anne Hathaway managed to keep her pregnancy under wraps during the promotional tour for “The Devil Wears Prada 2,” despite announcing just a few months earlier that she was expecting her third child with her husband, Adam Shulman.

The 43-year-old actress chose outfits that didn’t cling too closely to her figure, starting her tour in Mexico City on March 30. She wore a long black Schiaparelli skirt paired with a matching blazer.

Later that evening, she opted for a relaxed Stella McCartney Fall 2026 mini dress accented with black thigh-high boots.

During the early days of April, Hathaway sported a Spring 2026 Valentino haute couture gown, designed with layers of ruffles that cleverly disguised any hint of a baby bump. One of her casual looks featured a loose striped top, long sleeves, and a red tie paired with brown trousers.

On April 6, during an interview, she wore an oversized knit sweater from Sacai’s Fall/Winter 2026 collection and baggy pants, creating a comfortable yet stylish look. In fact, many of her outfits seemed intentionally meant to conceal her growing belly.

At the Seoul premiere of the film, Hathaway chose a loose-fitting Balenciaga leather dress, showcasing her preference for comfort while she maintained a fashionable appearance.

During the UK premiere, she surprised many in a striking Louis Vuitton strapless gown featuring a dramatic column skirt. Once back in the U.S. in May, she continued to navigate press appearances, including one in New York City where she wore a tailored Michael Kors skirt suit designed with an asymmetrical sash that helped mask her baby bump.

Despite the effort to keep her pregnancy discreet, a slight protrusion was still visible in some photos. Meanwhile, Hathaway remained active, making appearances at events like the 2026 Met Gala and the 2027 Louis Vuitton Cruise red carpets, where she wore a unique hand-painted Michael Kors ball gown with a fanned waist and a graceful gray dress from Louis Vuitton’s collection.

Her clothing choices throughout the tour often included layers and flowing designs that maintained an air of elegance while accommodating her changing figure.

Recently, Hathaway made an announcement about her pregnancy via a charming Instagram video. In the clip, she wore a flowing white dress, and with a playful smile, revealed her baby bump to the camera. She captioned the post with a sweet, quirky phrase.

Just before this announcement, she was seen enjoying some vacation time in St. Tropez, where she appeared carefree and radiant, certainly enjoying this exciting chapter of her life.

Hathaway and Shulman have been married since 2012 and are parents to two boys—Jonathan and Jack. Her pregnancy comes on the heels of her busy schedule, including the recent releases of “Mother Mary” and “The Devil Wears Prada 2.” She also stars in upcoming films like “The Odyssey,” set to premiere in July, alongside “The End of Oak Street” and “Verity.”

Reflecting on her hectic work life, Hathaway once mentioned at the Met Gala that despite the challenges, she feels fortunate for the experiences she has, even when things get tiring.
