How Brandon Nimmo’s 2024 highs and lows are shaping offseason

Brandon Nimmo's performance in several key offensive categories last season was among the worst of his career.

That's an undisputed fact as the Mets' outfielders look to rebound in 2025, but there were aspects of their play last season that they were proud of.

Two weeks ago, as the Mets were preparing to introduce Juan Soto at a press conference at Citi Field, Nimmo said in a phone call with the Post that he had a lot of pain in his left foot at the end of last season to improve his condition. He revealed that he received a platelet plasma (PRP) injection. Manage his plantar fasciitis. Nimmo began training last month at the Mets' minor league complex, but had not yet been able to run. I expect him to be at full throttle by spring training.

He is coming off a season in which he hit .224/.327/.399 with 23 home runs and 90 RBIs. Nimmo's on-base percentage was the lowest of his career, and his batting average and slugging percentage were each the second lowest of his career.
