President Trump lawyer Alina Habba said on Fox News Channel’s “The Story” on Wednesday that guest host Shannon Bream got it wrong about the sources of information in the business records trial against former President Trump.
“Unfortunately, Joe Biden can’t get anything done when he gets into office, so he’s forced to use the same tactics as anyone who’s just trying to cut corners and make money, and frankly, that’s what we’re seeing right now. This is really a Biden show, because he has to distract the American people,” Haba said.
“However, the Biden administration is not responsible for this trial,” Bream said.
“How can you say the Biden administration is not responsible for this trial?” Haba said.
“This is a state case. This is about Alvin Bragg. Whether or not we think he was politically motivated is not relevant to the Department of Justice. The federal government has dismissed the election charges,” Bream said.
“Shannon, you have to look at how many records there are of state officials, Letitia James and Fani Willis visiting the White House and then say this is not a Biden trial,” Haba said.
“The federal government has ignored this, that’s what I’m trying to say,” Bream said.
“Bragg gave up on the matter. You know when he came back? He came back when he decided to run for office,” Haba said.
