Justin Fields is having a great time in Dubai. And there's 40 million reasons.
The new Jets quarterback enjoyed a fun celebration in Dubai with fellow NFL stars while free agents opened around the world As captured in a video posted by Bleacher Report.
The video doesn't say when the festival happened, but a post from Bleacher Report showed that it happened after Fields signed a two-year, $40 million contract with Jets, which includes a $30 million guarantee.
Fields is located in Dubai with fellow NFL stars, Mika Parsons, Bidjan Robinson, Kyle Pitts and dual threat quarterbacks, and it appears that staff have a sparkler and a bottle of champagne on top of it, along with many others who look like a restaurant.
The group chanted “A bit,” and Fields and Pitts seemed to be having an epic time.
Assuming this scene unfolds after Field landed his deal, it certainly makes sense why he's all smiling.
The Jets are paying Fields to become their quarterback after the Steelers demoted him to Russell Wilson last year.
Talent and rushing ability were never questioned on the field, but the concern is whether the 26-year-old can lift the passing game and lead the top offensive unit.
Fields went 4-2 and last year he threw five touchdowns on one interception as a starter for Pittsburgh, adding 231 yards and five rushing scores.
However, in four of these games, he failed to clear 160 yards.
Ohio State's first-round pick in 2021 throws 45 touchdowns into 31 interceptions of his career, adding 19 rushing touchdowns.
Fields has the opportunity to build the modest success of last year while former Buckeyes teammate Garrett Wilson and Starr work with Starr running through Brace Hall.
His two-year contract allows the Jets to be flexible in that they will be in their second year if they flourish, in that if they go south it won't hurt much to escape the deal.
