‘How Many People Has He Let Go?’ — Young Child Captivates Attention At Unique Press Briefing

Children’s Day at the White House: Questions and Laughter

On Tuesday, during a unique briefing, White House Press Secretary Caroline Leavitt fielded questions from children brought to work by administration officials. The lighthearted atmosphere was palpable as kids chimed in with their own queries.

One enthusiastic child asked, “What superpower does Trump have?” Another wondered about the president’s favorite soccer player, while some reminisced about Biden’s time, focusing on his well-known ice cream preferences.

One standout moment came when a young girl posed a particularly pointed question: “How many people did he fire?” This curious inquiry came from Bobby Lynn, who caught everyone’s attention.

As laughter filled the room, Leavitt responded with a light tone, saying, “No one has actually been fired so far… except for one individual who has quit his job.” This seemed to hint at the departure of Mike Waltz.

It wasn’t entirely clear whether Bobby Lynn’s question was influenced by Trump’s reality show, “The Apprentice,” or if such questions were simply a reflection of government dynamics, perhaps as recommended by the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).

Leavitt’s follow-up about job security indeed pointed towards a relatively stable environment, even referencing her earlier comments about Waltz, who recently transitioned from national security adviser to a UN ambassador role.
