Nicole Kidman Faces Divorce Again

Nicole Kidman finds herself in a familiar situation, navigating another divorce after over two decades since her last highly publicized split.

Kidman met Tom Cruise while shooting “Thunder Day” and they were married by Christmas, 1990. Years later, she encountered Keith Urban in 2005, leading to a relationship and eventually marriage in 2006.

During her marriage to Cruise, they adopted a daughter, Isabella, in 1992 and a son, Connor, in 1995. Now, with Urban, she has two daughters.

Reflecting on her past, Kidman mentioned in a 2012 interview that she was “impulsive and naive” when she married Cruise at 22. She described her love for him as overwhelming, admitting, “I would have gone to the edge of the earth for him.”

In court documents filed around their divorce, Kidman expressed surprise at the irreconcilable differences cited by Cruise in 2001, noting she had attempted to salvage the marriage.

She recalled a special celebration for their 10th anniversary that turned somber after suffering a miscarriage. It was a very poignant moment in their lives.

Kidman’s attempts to keep the marriage together were met with resistance, as documents revealed Cruise made a decisive choice to end things. Following their separation, she found solace in her work, experiencing significant success with “Moulin Rouge!” during a tough time personally. “I couldn’t handle the reality of my life,” she reflected in 2015, explaining that her acting allowed her to escape into different personas.

Even years after their divorce, Kidman admitted she still holds feelings for Cruise. In a 2006 interview, she shared that while he was a massive figure in Hollywood, to her, he remained simply Tom. The emotional weight of the end of their family life felt like a loss, akin to a “death.”

Despite their past, it seems there are no lingering issues between them. Recently, Cruise paid homage to Kidman, reminiscing about their movie together, “Eyes Wide Shut.”

Kidman’s recent separation from Urban echoes her previous experiences; sources indicate she was reluctant to part ways, doing her best to mend their relationship. Yet, sometimes relationships simply reach their conclusion, as noted by insiders.
