Vice President Kamala Harris has spent the last three and a half years lurking in Joe Biden’s shadow, rambling on and pretending she knew what she was talking about. In many ways, she was an afterthought, someone we stunned and mocked.

Here are 13 things about Kamala Harris that everyone should know.
1. “She was one of only 14 people to support the Green New Deal,” Glenn says, describing Kamala as “an extremist’s extremist” — her signatories included Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren.
2. Harris was a “co-sponsor of single-payer health care (i.e., universal health care).”
3. She has called for a “complete transition away from fossil fuels within 10 years,” which Glenn says would lead to “the collapse of our economy.”
4. She supported a “universal government jobs guarantee.”
5. “She also supported government programs that promised universal access to healthy foods.”
6. “She wanted to upgrade every home and commercial building in the country to be energy efficient.”
7-13. Harris also supported a universal basic income, a new national living wage standard, greater union power, free college, an entirely new electricity grid, the elimination of gasoline-powered vehicles by 2030, and a transformation of American agriculture, including the end of most animal agriculture operations.
“She’s a democratic socialist,” Glenn warns, “and incompetent.”
