How THIS Florida sheriff is taking on illegal immigrants

The Brevard County Sheriff's Department, Florida, brings illegal immigrants into their own hands and works with federal law enforcement to arrest illegal immigrants within its jurisdiction.

“This operation is actually under Operation Stone Garden, which has been around for several years, and that's important because it's part of an ongoing effort from the state and local levels to help the Trump administration.”

Rosace is incorporated into the Brevard County Sheriff's department during the Border Patrol operation and is pleased with Florida's actions.

“Governor DeSantis has made it clear that he is thinking about truly fulfilling the promise of a massive deportation campaign. The state must utilize all the resources they can spend to actually support federal law enforcement.

And that is the point of Operation Stone Garden from the federal government, allowing local law enforcement to engage in these types of joint task force missions.

“How it works,” Rosace said, “Sheriff's deputies are stopping traffic and can be a violation of any kind.”

“In many cases, what screwed these people who were actually arrested was that they didn't have a license plate properly stuck on a trailer that was bringing something to landscaping,” he explains.

“Then once that's decided, yes, they're not legally here for a number of reasons. Or they may already have a criminal history that the federal government recognizes, they can be detained, put in a van, taken that van to Orlando and handle the process completely.”
