Check if a message has been archived (Google Messages)
If you have an Android-based phone or a Google account, you can use Google Messages as your primary text messaging platform. Here's how to check if a message has been archived in Google Messages.

- Open. Google messages app
- Please tap profile icon next to the search icon
- choice Archived
- long press on the message I want to get it
- Tap. Unarchive button in the top right corner

Use a third-party recovery app
Even if you don't have a backup and your messages are permanently deleted, you may be able to recover them using a third-party Android data recovery app. Kurt's data recovery software of choice can be found here. Different apps have different capabilities, so pay close attention to which third-party recovery solution is right for your needs.

If you backed up your phone to Google Drive, you may be able to restore your backup and recover deleted text messages. Please note that restoring a backup may overwrite existing data on your phone. Here's how to check if you have a Google Drive backup on your phone.

- open Google Drive Access it on your smartphone or visit drive.google.com.
- With Google Drive, storage Select an option from the bottom left corner.
- Tap backup View Android backups attached to Google Drive.

Gloria, I would be happy to help you recover your lost Android messages. It is always a good idea to back up your data regularly to prevent data loss in the future. If you have an Android smartphone, we highly recommend using Google Drive to back up your phone. That way, you can always access your backups in your Google Account. If you can't find your deleted messages in your phone's trash or trash, there's no need to panic.
