The 2025 Oscar nominations have been announced, and as always, 10 films will compete for the night's top prize, Best Picture.
Of course, this 10-piece slate includes both brutalist and Emilia Perezwhich won the Golden Globe Awards for Best Motion Picture Drama and Best Musical/Comedy, respectively.
This year's Best Picture lineup also includes one biopic (completely unknownabout Bob Dylan's early career, and i'm still hereabout Brazilian activist Eunice Paiva), and four films based on books (conclave, Dune: Part 2, nickel boysand evil), two musicals (evil and Emilia Perez), science fiction horror satire (material), and even some completely original films that aren't based on anything that already exists (anoraand brutalist).
