Yesterday, American runner Quincy Hall won the gold medal in the men’s 400 meters in a thrilling come-from-behind victory, the day after long-distance runner Cole Hocker won the gold medal. Also He came from behind to become the Olympic champion.
Today, Team USA is poised to continue to extend its lead in the medal count, as Americans will compete in four of the five medal events.
The main event today will be the men’s 200m final, featuring three US athletes, but medals will also be decided in the women’s long jump, men’s javelin, women’s 400m hurdles and men’s 110m hurdles.
