How Trump impacted the future, halted the suicide bill and additional thoughts

From the right: Don changed the future

“In the Middle East, what Trump claims about himself rings true,” says a commentator. “He asserted he wouldn’t start a war but, rather, would end one.” On Saturday night, it was emphasized that “Trump will put an end to this evil war now or after further suffering makes even the Mullah’s uncle weep. Israel isn’t the instigator here. The implications of this strike could be monumental, maybe even world-changing, so there’s no need to rush to understand its significance.” Trump believes he’s under divine scrutiny after his assassination attempt in Pennsylvania, and that’s important.

Conservatives: Reject suicide bills

Governor Hochul is urged to refuse the “Medical Assistance Act of the Dying,” which passed through state legislature recently. A commentator pointed out that this bill essentially acknowledges suicide as a human right, yet has very few protections and doesn’t require mental evaluations for those seeking it. “Moreover, the refusal to set residency requirements means people can come from anywhere to New York to end their lives.” This is troubling. The notion that everyone could have the “right” to end their life because of illness is unsettling and could render life meaningless.

Liberal: UFT won Mayoral Primary

New York’s schools are reportedly quite poor, even while spending an astonishing $36,000 per student—about double the national average. One commentator expressed frustration over the lack of attention to the education system despite critical funding concerns, noting that most candidates in a recent report received grades of D or F, with only one, Whitney Tilson, being somewhat favored by the UFT. “Interestingly, the union hasn’t backed candidatesperhaps out of confidence that the winner will meet their expectations,” noted the commentator.

From the right: I need Trump’s help

Governor Gavin Newsom informed Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth that local law enforcement has adequate resources to maintain order, as stated by a LAPD official. “We don’t have chaos, things are under control,” she remarked, despite numerous instances of violence. Questions linger: Should the March have waited for locals to regain control? The police chief had already raised a tactical alert, and yet, shortly after, Mayor Karen Bass had to impose a curfew. Yet, issues persisted, highlighting that sometimes, there’s more danger in tolerating lawlessness than in responding to it legally.

Libertarian: Cut the F-35

The military budget is under scrutiny as the U.S. seeks overall federal budget cuts. One commentator suggests that the F-35 jet program should be scrapped. Originating after 9/11, this jet has consistently shown it’s neither ready for action nor as effective as promised. Alarmingly, the proposed Defense Budget Bill for 2026 plans to allocate $8.5 billion for the F-35, even though it’s often described as troublesome and costly. The ongoing issues surrounding the F-35 indicate that it’s time to reconsider such programs.
