New Addition to the Grosvenor Family

Hugh Grosvenor, a close friend of Prince William, and his wife, Olivia Henson, have welcomed their first child, a baby girl.

The Duke and Duchess of Westminster shared the happy news that their daughter was born just a year after their beautiful wedding, where William and Olivia took part as ushers.

The couple has named their newborn Cosima Florence Grosvenor, which is, I guess, quite a distinctive name. A representative for the Duke and Duchess expressed their excitement about the arrival of their daughter.

“The Duchess and Cosima are both doing well. They’re looking forward to this special time as a family,” the spokesperson mentioned.

At 34, the Duke is not only a close companion of William, but he’s also friends with Prince Harry, and an important figure in their lives, serving as godfather to both Prince George and Prince Archie.

Interestingly, even with this close connection, Harry and Meghan Markle declined an invitation to William’s wedding in June 2024.

The wedding itself was quite the affair, drawing many prominent figures from British high society. Some described it as “the most non-crowned wedding” featuring guests from some of the oldest and wealthiest aristocratic families.

About 400 guests, including future royals like William and Princess Eugenie, celebrated at a grand reception after the couple exchanged vows.

Reportedly, Grosvenor’s assets are valued at approximately $12.6 billion. He met Henson through a mutual friend back in 2021.

Grosvenor became a billionaire at 25 following his father’s surprising death in 2016, which led him to inherit the title and manage the historic Grosvenor estate.

The couple is already considering expanding their family further. “The Duchess hopes to have another baby this summer. They’re really excited to start this journey together,” a statement from March revealed.

The two began dating in 2021 and announced their engagement in April 2023.
