Remembering Hulk Hogan
WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan, who sadly passed away at 71, found peace with God years ago when he devoted himself to Jesus Christ.
Before his baptism in December 2023, Hogan openly shared his Christian faith, recalling how he accepted Christ as a teenager. Reports emerged about this on Friday.
In a social media post, Hogan expressed, “I accepted Christ as my 14-year-old Savior; training, praying, and vitamins kept me in the game, but now I am one with God.”
He wed Sky Daily in September 2023, and the couple were baptized together just a few months later. According to reports, she was seen sharing smiles and laughter during the emotional baptismal moment.
The former wrestler shared a video capturing his sentiments, stating, “Complete surrender and devotion to Jesus is the greatest day of my life. There is no worries, no hatred, no judgment… just love!”
Pastor Franklin Graham expressed his sadness over Hogan’s passing in a social media post, recalling fond memories from their meeting at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee the previous year. He commented on Hogan’s unique character and humor, stating, “What a character! He went on stage just before I did and after he took off his shirt, I wondered how I would follow it!”
Graham shared that Hogan and Sky were baptized in their church in 2023, emphasizing Hogan’s statement about his devotion to Jesus as “the greatest day of my life.” He also conveyed his condolences to Hogan’s family during this difficult time.
Hogan, during an interview with the 700 Club, mentioned his constant connection to faith, saying, “If you are with my Lord and my Savior, I will always be inside.”
Reports indicated that Hogan’s passing occurred at his home in Clearwater, Florida. President Donald Trump also paid tribute, stating on social media, “Today we lost our great friend, the ‘Hulxter.’” He described Hogan as having a big heart and feeling somewhat overlooked.
In reflecting on Hogan’s influence, Dylan Gwyn, a sports editor, remarked that no one impacted the world of professional wrestling or sports quite like him. He was a symbol of patriotic strength and faith, inspiring countless children throughout the ’80s, ’90s, and beyond.
