Hulk Hogan’s 72nd Birthday Celebration
Monday was quite a day as Hulk Hogan’s closest fans gathered to honor what would have been the wrestling icon’s 72nd birthday at Hogan’s Hangout in Clearwater, Florida.
As reported by TMZ Sports, Hogan, who passed away last month at 71, was remembered starting early in the morning with festivities that lasted well into the night.
His son, Nick Hogan, made an appearance during karaoke around 8 PM, with reports noting that he was in high spirits celebrating his father’s legacy.
“We kept the championship belt safe at Hogan’s Hangout while the party was in full swing,” said Jimmy Hart, a friend and manager from the WWE Hall of Fame.
This celebration took place less than a month after Hogan’s death from a heart attack on July 24. Emergency services were called to Hogan’s home in Clearwater just before 10 AM that day; he was taken to a hospital but unfortunately passed away shortly after 11 AM.
Hogan’s wife, Sky Daily, expressed her grief on Instagram after his passing, stating, “I wasn’t ready for this…and my heart is falling apart. He had health issues, but we really believed he would pull through. I thought we had more time.” She reflected on how he was not just a legend but her partner and the love of her life.
Fans raised a toast to the late WWE star, honoring his legacy with fond memories. Hogan, who tied the knot with his third wife in 2023, had faced ongoing health worries leading up to his death. Reports in June had indicated that he was hospitalized and in poor condition.
A representative shared with TMZ that Hogan was dealing with longstanding health issues, but it seems the extent of his struggles may have been underestimated.
According to the Pinellas County Forensic Science Center, Hogan had a history of atrial fibrillation—a condition marked by irregular and often rapid heart rhythms—and chronic lymphocytic leukemia, a type of cancer that targets lymphocytes.
“Hulk loved his fans and, despite his growing discomfort, he did everything he could to connect with them,” his representatives noted. “You meant everything to him.”
Nick and his estranged daughter, Brooke Hogan, from his first marriage to Linda Hogan, shared heartfelt wishes for his birthday. Linda wrote on Instagram, “Happy Birthday 1981 Terry.. I love you so much and miss you.” Hogan, born Terry Borea, was married to Linda from 1983 until 2009 and later wed Jennifer McDaniel in 2010, although they divorced in 2022.
