The unexpected passing of Hulk Hogan on Thursday at 71 years old came just two days after his long-time manager and friend, Jimmy Hart, shared a seemingly positive health update. This news followed a concerning report from a show hosted by Bubba the Love Sponge, which alleged that Hogan, whose real name is Terry Borea, was struggling and unable to speak.
Hart expressed his positivity through a post on X, stating, “Hulk is doing great things and doing amazing things! It was really amazing to be with Nick at karaoke last night, baby!!”
Earlier in June, Bubba provided a thorough update regarding Hogan’s health, which was discussed in reports from Cageside Seats.
On Monday, a former friend of Hogan’s, whom he later sued, also commented on his situation, with Hart explaining that Hogan was moved to his home in Florida. Hart noted that while Hogan was in a hospital bed, it wouldn’t be appropriate to call it a hospice.
“He doesn’t require such drastic measures that would necessitate being near an emergency facility,” Bubba stated. “He is more stable at home… but that’s where he is now.”
Bubba described the precautions taken during Hogan’s transport as reminiscent of a high-profile celebrity, stating that the process involved unmarked ambulances and loading docks to maintain secrecy.
Hart’s update didn’t confirm personal time spent with Hogan on Tuesday, though he did reference Hogan’s son, Nick. Cageside Seats suggested that the karaoke event mentioned likely relates to regular gatherings at Hogan’s restaurant in Clearwater, Florida.
Jimmy Hart, known as “The Mouth of the South,” has a long history with Hogan, having managed him during his time with both WCW and WWF.
The 81-year-old Hart made an appearance alongside Hogan on January 6, 2025, during a segment for “Raw,” marking a memorable moment in the new Netflix era.
Medical personnel were dispatched to Clearwater, Florida, after emergency services received a call regarding a cardiac arrest incident, according to reports.
