Huma Abedin and Alex Soros have officially tied the knot!
The couple exchanged vows in a lavish ceremony surrounded by family and friends at Soros’s estate in Southampton, as reported by Vogue.
For the occasion, Abedin donned two stunning custom-designed wedding gowns, one from Eldem and the other from Givenchy, crafted by designers Eldem Moral Burton and Sarah Burton.
The 48-year-old former aide to Hillary Clinton and the 39-year-old son of billionaire George Soros had sent out Save the Date cards earlier this year for their New York wedding celebration.
The cards, featuring elegant cream stationery with emerald green font, read, “Please save the dates for Huma Abedin and Alex Soros’ wedding celebrations.”
Back in summer 2024, news of their engagement broke, leading to much excitement among their friends and family.
“The relationship is pretty simple,” a close friend described it in July 2024, emphasizing how relaxed and joyful their love feels, especially after challenging years.
According to sources, Alex proposed to Huma in Italy about six weeks prior to that revelation, presenting her with an impressive engagement ring valued at around six figures.
It’s noted that the couple has been romantically linked since February 2024, after sharing a cozy Valentine’s Day dinner photo together in Paris.
An industry expert mentioned that the engagement ring, estimated to be worth $1.3 million, is a remarkable piece and combines modern and classic designs, making it a perfect match for Huma’s style.
Before her marriage to Alex, Abedin was married to the disgraced politician Anthony Weiner, whose sexting scandal led to their divorce in May 2017.
Alex and Huma made headlines again a few months later as they confidently showcased their relationship at the 2024 Met Gala.
