500 Navy SEALs, veterans and other supporters are planning a march to support Secretary of Defense nominee Pete Hegseth, who appears before senators for his confirmation hearing Tuesday.
That morning, his supporters gathered at 9 a.m. ET at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial and various war memorials, including the Korean War Veterans Memorial, the Washington DC War Memorial, and the World War II Memorial. The march is organized by Navy SEAL veteran Bill Brown, who also organizes the annual New York City Seal Swim. Mr. Hegseth, a military veteran, is enlisted to support the Navy SEALs. It is co-sponsored by Robert Sweetman's organization 62romeo.
“Attendance at the SEAL march and hearing for Pete Hegseth demonstrates strong and unwavering support from the warrior class for Pete Hegseth as he moves forward with his confirmation as Secretary of Defense,” said a press release for the event.
