Hunter Biden claims the cocaine discovered at the White House in 2023 does not belong to him: ‘I wasn’t even there’

Hunter Biden Denies Connection to Cocaine Found in the White House

On Thursday, Hunter Biden, the former president’s son, explicitly denied any involvement with the bag of cocaine discovered at the White House in 2023.

In a recent interview with right-wing podcaster Candace Owens, he responded with “no” when asked if the cocaine, found by the Secret Service near the Situation Room three years ago, belonged to him.

Biden shared that he struggled with crack cocaine addiction following his brother’s passing in 2015 but has been “clean and sober” since June 1, 2019.

He even underscored his sobriety, pointing out the random drug tests he underwent over two years during ongoing legal proceedings. “By the way, that’s true,” he emphasized. “But beyond that…and directly related to your question, I wasn’t even there,” he added.

He went on to hint that either visitors or government staff might have been responsible for the bag’s presence. “People need to understand… where that cocaine was found… that’s where visitors come, staff come from the old enforcement building… and there doesn’t seem to be the slightest possibility that I wasn’t there,” he elaborated.

This incident occurred while Biden, along with President Joe Biden and other family members, were away at Camp David when the small bag of cocaine was found on July 2, 2023. Interestingly, Hunter had been seen at the White House the Friday before the discovery as the family departed for their retreat.

He mentioned, “I’ve probably spent about 25 days in four years in the White House. About 25 nights. To be fair, 30 days,” acknowledging how he can be perceived as “an easy target…and rightly so” for suspicion. Biden also claimed to be “probably the most famous addict” in recovery.

The Biden administration has not disclosed where the cocaine originated. Following the investigation by the FBI, reopened under the Trump administration in 2025, no arrests were made.
