Hunter Biden has openly criticized CNN’s Jake Tapper, labeling him as “totally incompetent” and “full of assholes.”
During a recent podcast with Don Lemon, Hunter voiced his frustrations when the topic turned to Tapper’s book “Original Sin,” which discusses President Biden’s unsuccessful re-election bid in 2024.
“I think Jake is a complete failure,” said Hunter, who is 56 years old.
He expressed that he’s known Tapper for around 25 years but regarded him as “a really poor journalist.”
“I don’t think he’s a very sane person,” he added bluntly.
Hunter also criticized Tapper’s reporting style, implying he shares some resemblance to the dimwitted weatherman character in the movie Anchorman, calling him “the Brick Tamland of his generation.”
Tapper’s upcoming book, co-written with Alex Thompson, touches on various allegations regarding cover-ups related to President Biden’s age and health. It also includes insights from Democratic insiders who critique the president’s choice to step down after a lackluster debate performance that adversely affected Kamala Harris’ campaign.
According to Hunter and first lady Jill Biden, the president has been overly protective, shielding himself from press scrutiny, which has frustrated Hunter.
He voiced his anger, saying that people constantly feel the need to preface their criticism of Tapper by acknowledging his long career, which Hunter finds unnecessary. “I’m not running for anything,” he shouted.
A representative for Tapper hasn’t responded yet, but a CNN spokesperson emphasized that “Jake Tapper is a respected journalist, and his work speaks for itself.” They added that for years he has held those in power accountable, regardless of their political affiliation. Such comments, they argued, are “frankly ridiculous” and shouldn’t have been reported.
