Hunter Biden is reportedly not communicating with his 7-year-old daughter, Marine Joan Roberts, whom he had with former stripper Landen Roberts. A judge is now looking to compel him to establish contact with her, as outlined in recent court documents.
Roberts, aged 34, has accused Biden, 55, of not even allowing their daughter to choose a piece of his artwork to keep. This came to light after Roberts revisited their child support case in Arkansas in 2019, arguing that Biden should face jail time for allegedly dodging a 2023 settlement.
In a filing, Roberts stated that attempts were made to contact Biden, but he “refused to comply.” The term “MC1” used in the documents clearly indicates Marine Joan.
As part of a 2023 court agreement, it was determined that Biden must provide certain paintings that Marine Joan had selected. However, it appears she did not get to choose any, as Roberts claims all the artworks received were selected by Biden instead.
Roberts is now seeking judicial enforcement of this agreement. She believes that these paintings symbolize the only genuine link Marine Joan will have with her father and his family.
Initially, there seemed to be a budding connection between Marine Joan and Biden, with reports suggesting that they began building their relationship through art. Their conversations had been positive, reportedly strengthening their bond.
However, communication abruptly stopped after Roberts published a book about Biden, which apparently wasn’t demeaning but may have strained their relationship, according to the court filings.
During a family wedding, it was noted that Marine Joan experienced emotional distress, grappling with the realization that she wouldn’t share such moments with her father. Roberts has suggested that Biden might have feigned “guilt and remorse” over his absence while managing to reduce his monthly support payments significantly.
Despite initially denying his parentage, Biden underwent DNA testing in 2019, which confirmed he is the father. Now, Roberts feels that the only way to prompt Biden to act—if he even will—is through imprisonment. She has also hinted at wanting an increase in child support but didn’t specify an amount.
An emotional aspect noted in the documents reveals that Marine Joan, despite mourning her father’s absence, expresses a desire to be with him in the afterlife, while also feeling the weight of not being able to match the lifestyle her half-siblings enjoy.
Hunter Biden’s history is marked by tumultuous behavior, including struggles with substance abuse and legal issues. He did receive a pardon from his father just before exiting office but carries a controversial public image. It’s worth noting that he has four other children from previous relationships.
