Hunter Biden Challenges Donald Trump Jr. to Cage Match Over UFC Event
On June 19, 2026, Hunter Biden, the son of former President Joe Biden, expressed strong discontent regarding the UFC Freedom 250 event held on the South Lawn of the White House. He specifically called out Donald Trump Jr., challenging him to a cage match.
The spat began when UFC commentator Joe Rogan dismissed criticisms about the Trump administration’s choice to host the mixed martial arts event. He bluntly told dissenting Americans to simply “shut the f*** up.”
In response, Hunter Biden issued a lengthy statement, which had a performance aspect to it. He criticized the event’s location and argued that it represented a threat to “democratic integrity,” rather than just a clash of sports allegiances.
“My problem is that I believe some of our public spaces are sacred,” Hunter stated, addressing Rogan. He emphasized that historical sites like the White House do not belong to any single president but rather to the people.
Biden frequently used historical references to ancient civilizations, describing the fight card as an “abuse” of executive authority that tarnished national landmarks. He maintained that hosting the event on White House grounds diminished the property’s historical significance.
“To treat it as Caesar treated the Colosseum is contrary to everything our founding fathers fought for,” Hunter said. While acknowledging the commercial success of Rogan and UFC CEO Dana White, he argued that the choice of venue changed the event’s meaning. He suggested that Trump’s decision to hold the event effectively communicated a message of total ownership over public property. “By holding the event on the South Lawn, he was saying: ‘This is my house. I own it. I will do with it what I please,’” Biden claimed. He concluded that this decision transformed the historical grounds into “an exhibition of imperial domination, not a celebration of our democracy,” asserting, “The president is our servant. Not our Caesar.”
Interestingly, the final part of Biden’s statement escalated the political debate into a personal challenge. He proposed to Donald Trump Jr. the idea of settling their differences in an MMA cage.
“P.S. Cage match between me and Don Jr.? Your call on the venue. Anywhere but the South Lawn,” Hunter wrote.
It’s worth noting that Hunter did not bring up a past controversy involving his father’s Pride Month celebration at the White House in 2024, where transgender activists faced backlash after posing for photos. This incident had sparked considerable conversation for its provocative nature.
