Hunter Biden Tax Evasion Charge ‘Tip of the Iceberg’; Says Money Laundering, FARA Violations Questions Loom

On Friday on FNC's “Hannity,” Rep. James Comer (R-Ky.), chairman of the House Oversight Committee, responded to the accusations filed against President Joe Biden's son Hunter Biden earlier in the week. did.

Comer argued that Hunter Biden's legal problems go far beyond tax evasion, including allegations of money laundering and possible violations of the Foreign Agents Registration Act.

“I mean, I'm not surprised,” he said. “Look, this is one of the many crimes that Hunter Biden has committed. We believe that if you are going down the path of tax evasion, just the obvious income that is being charged to Mr. Weiss. We believe that the loan was tax evasion, and that's what Jason Smith and the Ways and Means Committee are looking into. Similarly. See the loans that Jim Biden and Hunter Biden had. We believe there are over $13 million in loans with no trace of principal payments, let alone interest payments.”

“So when does a loan become income?” Comer continued. “We believe he owes far more than he owes in taxes. We also know that money laundering exists and we see that in all the reports of suspicious activity. Most of the 170 suspicious activity reports at the Treasury Department suggest that the Bidens were laundering money, and their current bank statements and the investigation we conducted show that We can confirm that it certainly looks like money laundering.”

“You also have clear violations of the Foreign Agents Registration Act, but who were you lobbying for?” he added. “He was lobbying for China, Russia, and the worst countries in the world. But he was also lobbying his father, so Joe Biden is responsible for the Foreign Agents Registration Act.” So there's a lot of concern here. This is the tip of the iceberg. I'm not surprised that the incident happened before this week, but this incident is not over yet.”
