President Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden, is scheduled to be sentenced eight days after the 2024 presidential election after a Delaware jury found him guilty of three firearms-related charges.
In Court order On Friday, Judge Mary Ellen Noreika wrote that Biden’s son’s sentence will be carried out at the J. Caleb Boggs Federal Building in Wilmington, Delaware, on Nov. 13, 2024.
The sentence came after a Delaware jury found Hunter guilty of all three firearms charges in June.
Hunter was indicted by special prosecutor David Weiss in September 2023, Breitbart News reported. and One count of “making a false statement in connection with the purchase of a firearm,” one count of “possession of a firearm by a person who is an unlawful user of or addicted to a controlled substance,” and one count of making a false statement “relating to information required to be kept by federally licensed firearms dealers.”
Hunter faces up to 25 years in prison, fines totaling approximately $750,000 and three years of probation. according to To Fox News.
Previously, Biden was offered a “sweet” plea deal that would have given him the option to plead guilty to failing to pay thousands of dollars in taxes “on income of more than $1.5 million” in 2017 and 2018. Weiss crafted a separate diversion agreement that would have given Hunter immunity from potential future charges.
The plea deal fell through after Noreika expressed concerns about the deal.
