President Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden, is scheduled to be sentenced on Nov. 13, 2024, for a gun crime conviction.
CBS News report“Hunter Biden was convicted by a 12-person jury in June of purchasing and possessing a firearm while high on crack cocaine.”
Hunter was convicted of one count of making a false statement regarding the purchase of a firearm, one count of possession of a firearm by an unlawful user or addict of a controlled substance, and one count of making a false statement regarding information required to be kept by a federally licensed firearms dealer.
Hunter will be sentenced on June 11, 2024, and a week before then, Breitbart News explained that penalties for some of the charges could include prison time and heavy fines.
The penalties relate to the federal firearms transfer form (ATF Form 4473), which asks prospective gun buyers numerous questions about their criminal history, mental health and drug use.
For example, one of the questions on Form 4473 is:
Are you illegally using or dependent on marijuana, sedatives, stimulants, narcotics, or other controlled substances? WARNING: Regardless of whether marijuana has been legalized or decriminalized for medical or recreational purposes in the state in which you reside, the use or possession of marijuana remains illegal under federal law.
Form 4473 only allows two answers to the questions: “yes” or “no.” Penalties for providing false answers on the ATF Form 4473 include a fine of up to $250,000 and/or 10 years in prison.
Following Hunter’s numerous convictions, CBS News It pointed out He “faces up to 25 years in prison and a fine of up to $750,000.”
