First appeared on FOX: A former business partner of President Hunter Biden is speaking out after the president’s son was found guilty on all charges Tuesday at his federal firearms trial in Wilmington, Delaware.
Hunter Biden’s former business partner said he “sympathizes” with Hunter Biden about the allegations, calling them “ridiculous charges” and “clearly a political ploy with the Department of Justice.”
“Their influence tactics are also distracting from the main event,” he continued in a statement to Fox News Digital.

“I am convinced that the entire justice system is not a system based on law but is simply a system of people with motives,” he added.
Hunter Biden was convicted of making false statements regarding a firearm purchase, making false statements regarding information required to be kept by federally licensed gun dealers, and possessing a firearm by a person who is an unlawful user of or addicted to a controlled substance.
“Rather than being disappointed by the outcome, I am grateful for the love and support I have received over the last week from Melissa, my family, friends and community. Recovery is possible by God’s grace, and I am grateful to experience that grace one day at a time,” Hunter Biden said in a statement after the verdict.
Hunter Biden’s trial this month lasted about six and a half days and included emotional testimony from family members, including his daughter Naomi Biden, his ex-wife Kathleen Boulle and his sister-in-law and former lover. Harry Biden.

Prosecutors sought to prove that Hunter Biden lied in October 2018 on a federal firearms form, known as ATF Form 4473, by checking a box that said “no” when asked if he was an unlawful gun user or addicted to controlled substances. Hunter Biden bought the gun at a store in Wilmington called Star Quest Shooters & Survival Supply.
Special Counsel David Weiss told reporters on Tuesday afternoon that “no one is above the law” and that “Hunter Biden, like other Americans convicted of similar conduct, should not be held accountable.”

The former business partner’s response echoed that of the Trump campaign, with campaign spokeswoman Caroline Leavitt highlighting Trump’s “real crimes.”
“This trial is nothing more than a distraction from the real crimes of the Biden crime family, who made tens of millions of dollars from China, Russia and Ukraine,” she said in a statement.
“The unscrupulous Joe Biden’s reign of the Biden family criminal empire will come to an end on November 5th. Mr Biden will never again sell access to government for personal gain,” she said.
