Hunter Biden’s recent troubles indicate that he struggles to remain out of the spotlight.

Hunter Biden's recent troubles indicate that he struggles to remain out of the spotlight.

Hunter Biden has long been the subject of ridicule, and this trend continued last week when he found himself listed among Trump’s early achievements in office.

One entry read, “We stripped notorious scumbag and fraudster Hunter Biden of his taxpayer-funded Secret Service detail,” as part of the “365 Wins in 365 Days!” declaration.

And thus, Hunter’s unfortunate streak of bad luck seemed to deepen.

Once his father left office, the former first son not only became less prominent but also largely vanished from the public eye.

At 55, he is now facing jail time in Arkansas for failing to pay child support to his daughter’s mother, Landen Roberts.

He appeared to be desperately trying to escape a number of frivolous lawsuits aimed at silencing his critics, even misleading friendly podcasters.

After Trump took the White House, Hunter seized an 11-year retroactive pardon from his father and took an extravagant vacation in South Africa with his second wife, Melissa Cohen.

During this getaway, they received 24-hour Secret Service protection, which included a personal chauffeur, assistance with shopping bags, and efforts to keep paparazzi at bay.

Hunter’s father had extended Secret Service protection to him indefinitely before leaving office.

The Secret Service is Gone

However, President Trump quickly revoked this detail two months later, leaving Hunter to navigate life without a taxpayer-funded bodyguard.

He claims he is too financially strained to meet his obligations, yet how he financed luxurious vacations and maintained an impressive lifestyle in high-end Los Angeles homes remains a puzzling mystery, especially as he has no job and doesn’t sell his art.

Earlier this month, Landen Roberts returned to court in Arkansas, seeking enforcement of his daughter Joan’s custody and citing Hunter’s lack of effort to see them.

“He is committed to the Independence County Detention Center as a civil penalty until he clears himself of contempt as ordered by this court,” stated Roberts’ attorney in a recent court filing.

Hunter had previously denied paternity during a brief relationship with Roberts, claiming he wasn’t the father until a court-ordered DNA test confirmed it.

Roberts had to sue for child support but did not receive support until a scandal nearly derailed Joe Biden’s 2020 campaign, ultimately leading “Sugar Brothers” to cover Hunter’s tax bills, expensive rent, and child support payments.

Eventually, when Joe Biden was in the White House, Hunter tearfully appealed in court, resulting in a reduced support amount of $5,000 per month, but with obligations to involve himself in Navy’s life through regular calls.

“He longed for a relationship with his father,” commented Navy’s mother.

Yet, Roberts insists Hunter has not followed through on this agreement and broke off contact, causing emotional distress for Navy, who was only five years old at the time.

Roberts noted that despite the Biden family’s wealth, Hunter appears to lead a lavish life while his daughter struggles.

In fact, as of Thanksgiving 2025, documents claim the rest of the Biden family gathered in luxury without Navy, who was supposedly excluded from family gatherings.

Roberts concluded with a poignant note: “No one can force Mr. Biden to be a good father.” He further argued that the court should ensure Navy receives comparable support to that of her half-siblings.

This accusation starkly reflects a woman striving for acceptance into the Biden family while facing relentless disappointment.

Hunter’s efforts to restore his reputation were evident when he appeared on Sean Ryan’s podcast, though it revealed a lack of depth in questioning, particularly around Navy.

Much of what Hunter said on the podcast seemed misleading. He continues to deny that the infamous “laptop from hell” is his.

Claiming it to be a collection of fabricated material stolen from him, he overlooks that FBI investigations have confirmed the laptop belonged to him since 2019.

Amid other troubling findings linked to Hunter’s lifestyle, the laptop ultimately became pivotal in his legal troubles, with evidence leading to convictions in criminal trials.

The sentences he received act as a barrier against Hunter’s attempts to twist the narrative surrounding his past.

However, he did touch on a somewhat valid point during his lengthy podcast: “The people who benefit are always the ones who somehow seem to avoid the consequences and emerge victorious.”

That could just as easily describe him and his father.

The Bidens may take pride in outsmarting many, but thankfully, the general American public is more perceptive.
