Former President Donald Trump on Thursday reminded globalists pushing for foreign aid on Capitol Hill that no one speaks for him but himself.
A day after House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-Louisiana) told CNN’s Jake Tapper that the 45th president would turn his back on a foreign aid plan supported by Biden, President Trump spoke on Truth Social this afternoon. He appeared on the show and revealed that he was his own press secretary. The package combines four separate bills under a single rule, including one that appropriates $60.84 billion to Ukraine.
“I’m the only one who speaks for ‘ME’. The havoc caused by crooked Joe Biden and incompetent Democrats, but if I were president, this war would never have started!” Trump he wrote. President Trump also criticized European countries in his post, questioning why European countries “don’t provide more money to help Ukraine.”
When appearing on CNN lead with tupperware On Wednesday, the host asked Johnson, “Have you talked to Mr. Trump about this plan, this legislative plan in terms of how to introduce a foreign aid bill, and ultimately Mr. Will you support me?” he asked.
Chairman Mike Johnson: “We’re going to defend freedom and make sure President Putin doesn’t march across Europe…We’re the greatest country on earth and we have to act like it.” yeah.”

“Yeah, he would,” Johnson, who has faced backlash from many conservative hardliners at his own news conference, said before reflecting on his visit with Trump at Mar-a-Lago last Friday. He said this.
I was just with him at Mar-a-Lago on Friday, we had dinner together, and my wife was there too. It was a great visit. We talked about a lot of things, including the politics going on in this country. And he said in the press conference that we did there together that I’m doing a very good job and he supports me and all that.
President Trump spoke highly of Johnson at a press conference, but was asked by a reporter whether he supported Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene’s (R-Ga.) motion for him to stand down or if he supported Johnson. At that time, he did not explicitly oppose it.
“We get on very well with the chair, and I get on very well with Marjorie. We have a chair and he was elected by vote, but it was a complicated process.” Mr. Trump said. “It’s not an easy situation for any chairperson.”
“I think he’s doing a very good job. He’s doing as good a job as you’re going to do. I’m sure Marjorie understands that, and she is a very good friend of mine and I know she has great respect for the Speaker,” Trump added.
Since then, Rep. Thomas Massey (R-Ky.) co-sponsored Greene’s resignation motion and has publicly called for Johnson to resign.
