Tom Homan Discusses Immigration Enforcement Success at National Conservatism Meeting

In a speech at the national conservatism meeting in Washington, D.C., Tom Homan highlighted the achievements of the Trump administration in immigration enforcement.

“Two months ago, I remarked, ‘It’s flooding the zone.’ That’s precisely what we did,” Homan stated.

He outlined that President Donald Trump tasked him with three primary responsibilities: securing the borders, executing significant deportation operations, and locating unaccompanied immigrant minors.

“We have the safest borders in our country’s history,” he asserted, attributing this success to the president and border patrol agents, claiming that illegal immigration had decreased by 96%.

Homan argued that the accomplishments at the border demonstrated that the Biden administration was intentionally maintaining a risky border situation.

“It wasn’t due to mismanagement or incompetence. It was by design,” he emphasized.

He further explained that Trump’s border policies had saved countless lives by curbing human trafficking, drug trafficking, and sexual assaults.

Addressing accusations against the Trump administration, Homan said, “They often label us as inhumane. I’ve been called a racist, a white nationalist. People even label me a terrorist.”

“Call me what you want. It doesn’t change my views, and I’ve never been concerned about that,” Homan remarked.

He went on to express that under Biden’s open-border policies, there has been a tragic rise in the number of immigrants dying during their trek to the U.S., alongside a surge in fentanyl-related deaths and human trafficking, all while cartels thrived.

Homan also touched on sanctuary cities, which aim to shield undocumented immigrants from federal agents. “I said two months ago, ‘I’m about to overflow the zone.’ That’s exactly what we’re doing, right here in Chicago,” he remarked.

“President Trump is going to make Chicago safe again,” he asserted.

Reportedly, the Trump administration is gearing up for a significant operation in Chicago, mobilizing 200 Homeland Security agents and utilizing naval resources from the Great Lakes.

A senior DHS official had previously stated, “President Trump has made it clear: We’re making our streets and cities safe again. Nationwide, DHS law enforcement is focused on arresting the most dangerous individuals, including gang members, murderers, and pedophiles, who pose a threat to American communities.”
