I don’t want to stand in airport lines, so I will continue using private jets.

Sen. Bernie Sanders Discusses Private Jet Use

During a recent episode of “Special Report” on Fox News Channel, Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT) defended his use of a private jet while on a tour addressing oligarchy issues. He mentioned that, given the demands of running a campaign with multiple meetings each week, using the jet was practically necessary for connecting with large audiences.

Host Brett Baier raised concerns about the high costs associated with this travel. He referenced comments from Senator Elissa Slotkin (D-MI), who criticized Sanders for his reliance on wealthy supporters. Baier pointed out that reports claim Sanders has spent $221,000 on private jet travel during this tour. He pressed Sanders on how he responds to these criticisms.

In response, Sanders pointedly asked, “When was the last time you saw Donald Trump campaigning at National Airport?” He emphasized that to efficiently engage with 30,000 people, a private jet is often the only viable option, as waiting in line for commercial flights is impractical for his schedule.
