‘I Should Be Out Campaigning’

Former President Donald Trump denounced election interference on Monday as he arrived in a Manhattan courthouse to begin the fourth week of his criminal trial.

Trump believes the numerous charges against him are aimed at politically sabotaging his re-election campaign, backed by reports of multiple meetings between the Biden administration and Trump prosecutors.

“Rather than sit in a very cold courthouse all day, you should go campaigning now,” Trump told reporters outside the courtroom. “This is an indictment of Biden. This is a level of election interference that no one in this country has ever seen.”

“This is all coming from the White House,” Trump said.

Establishment media recently acknowledged that Trump’s opponents, who have taken legal action against him, have been unable to stop the biggest political comeback in history. What initially appeared to be a “wall of legal hurdles” blocking Mr. Trump’s biggest comeback in political history now appears to be nothing more than “a series of speed bumps.” Politico’s Senior legal reporter Josh Gerstein recently wrote:

Polls seem to support Gerstein’s perception. Trump leads President Joe Biden in five of the six battleground states, and Trump’s lead is outside the margin of error in four of the five states. new york times/Siena/Philadelphia Inquirer poll revealed Monday.

  • Arizona: Trump 49%-42% (registered voters), 49%-43% (prospective voters)
  • Georgia: Trump 49%-39% (registered voters), 50%-41% (prospective voters)
  • Michigan: Trump 49%-42% (registered voters), Biden 47%-46% (prospective voters)
  • Nevada: Trump 50%-38% (registered voters), 51%-38% (prospective voters)
  • Pennsylvania: Trump 47%-44% (registered voters), 48%-45% (prospective voters)
  • Wisconsin: Biden 47%-45% (registered voters), Trump 47%-46% (prospective voters)

“It shows that we have a significant lead everywhere,” Trump told reporters. President Trump said he is “leading in Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Arizona, Michigan, Georgia and Nevada.” “[In] Nevada, which actually has a 12 point lead, is a generally Democratic state. ”

The Associated Press reported that President Trump’s comments about election interference were made when Michael Cohen took the stand to testify at Trump’s trial.

The long-awaited testimony from Trump’s former lawyer and personal fixer comes after prosecutors made breathtaking developments in a case that ultimately hinges on record-keeping. Become. Mr. Trump secreted internal business records to cover up hush-money payments made by Mr. Cohen as part of an effort to buy and kill articles that could harm the former president’s 2016 campaign. He has been charged with falsification.

Trump, who is prohibited from speaking about Cohen, told reporters: “I’m innocent.” “This is a political witch hunt. …No one has ever seen anything like this.”
