Philadelphia DA Makes Strong Statement Against ICE
District Attorney Larry Krasner from Philadelphia has issued a warning to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents, stating they could face arrest and prosecution if they “come to Philadelphia to commit a crime.” Krasner, who has connections to prominent left-leaning donors including George Soros, expressed these concerns during a press conference.
“If law enforcement officers and ICE agents are coming to Philadelphia to commit crimes, we need to get them out of here,” Krasner stated. “Because if you did that here, I would charge you with those crimes, and you would be arrested, tried, and convicted, whether in state court or federal court.”
He went on to clarify:
“Donald Trump cannot pardon you for a conviction in state court, so you should value your time. Can you hear me, ICE agents? Can you hear me, National Guard? Can you hear me, soldier? If you commit a crime in the city of Philadelphia, you will go to prison. You will be responsible. The law applies to all of you. And I know that honest, decent, moral law enforcement, including ICE, remains strong. This is not for you. This is for colleagues who think they are above the law.”
Krasner’s remarks followed an incident in Minneapolis where an ICE officer fatally shot a woman who was reportedly driving her SUV toward the officer in an attempt to interfere with their operations. Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem noted that ICE agents felt threatened when the woman turned her vehicle toward them.
There was also a previous situation where an ICE agent was severely injured after being dragged 50 yards by a driver identified as an illegal alien.
Philadelphia Sheriff Rochelle Bilal echoed Krasner’s sentiments, referring to ICE agents as “fabricated fake law enforcement wannabes.” She expressed frustration about people coming into the community in disguise to commit crimes and affirmed her support for Krasner’s commitment to hold offenders accountable.
“People come into our communities wearing masks to commit crimes. It’s a crime. Thank God District Attorney Larry Krasner said he’s going to lock them up. And I’m saying right now, we’re not going to take you away to hide your identity,” she stated. “You don’t need this smoke, we’ll bring it for you…”
