In southern Gaza, the Israel Defense Forces eliminated a number of terrorists with sniper fire. IDF engineering units identified and attacked launch sites based on unit instructions, and aircraft attacked terrorist infrastructure.
In Khan Yunis, IAF aircraft struck terrorist infrastructure that was being used as a gathering point for a large number of terrorists who were operating on the premises at the time of the attack.
CNN report On Sunday, the Palestinian Red Crescent Society, the local equivalent of the Red Cross, said the Israeli Defense Forces had surrounded both al-Amal and Nasser hospitals in southern Gaza.
Israel has previously noted that Palestinian terrorists use hospitals in the Gaza Strip to hide terrorists, weapons and hostages, and to establish underground command posts and tunnel networks.
The use of hospitals for military purposes is a violation of international humanitarian law, meaning these hospitals cannot claim protection from attack.
Israel has tried to protect actual doctors and patients while fighting terrorists.
