JERUSALEM, ISRAEL — Israel Defense Forces (IDF) forces rushed on Tuesday to complete a mission Lebanon accepted on behalf of Hezbollah earlier this week, before the Israeli government accepted a U.S.-brokered ceasefire.
Across the border, from the Western Galilee to the Golan Heights, Israeli troops suddenly redeployed Tuesday, leaving routine patrols and crossing the border to complete missions before a 60-day hiatus begins.
Breitbart News has learned of the redeployments in the Rosh Hanikra region near the Mediterranean coast and in the mountains near the Golan Heights, one of the flashpoints of the conflict, close to both Syria and Lebanon.
In addition to ground attacks, the Israeli Air Force launched several waves of attacks against Hezbollah's headquarters infrastructure in Beirut's Dahieh district, which has been under repeated bombing attacks.
In contrast, Lebanon's Christian villages are relatively untouched, and this clearly reflects the IDF's policy not to target those communities except in exceptional cases when Hezbollah forces manage to penetrate there. This is due to policy.
As Israel accelerated its offensive, Hezbollah also fired dozens of rockets into northern Israel. In one attack in the Mount Hermon area that Breitbart News covered last week, a female Israeli soldier was injured by a drone.
