If the GOP fails to perform, the midterms might be challenging.

Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairman Michael Whatley expressed that if the party, transformed by President Donald Trump, fails to meet expectations, it could signal trouble for the midterms, as reported on Breitbart News Daily.

“This is the leading party in America. Donald Trump reshaped the Republican Party during his first term, often clashing with his own party as much as with Democrats. I am pleased to see the transformation,” he stated.

“Now, this party advocates for all families, all workers, and all communities. What we’ve witnessed over the past decade since Trump made his entrance on that iconic escalator is a grassroots revolution.”

In response to challenges from within the party regarding the agenda, Whatley noted that Trump has clearly positioned the Republican Party as a symbol of a strong America.

“It represents a revitalized economy, secure borders, and safe communities. Our party stands for this on the global stage. The Republican House and Senate support this agenda and reflect the popular vote,” he added.

“However, our margins are slim; we hold just three seats in the Senate and five in the House. To advance our plans, party unity is essential. Failing to accomplish this means Americans will face significant issues.

“We understand the urgency. We must deliver for the American people. If we succeed, there’s a chance to expand our majority in the upcoming fall elections,” Whatley predicted. “But if we don’t put in the effort, the next election cycle could become challenging, much like Trump’s 2024 campaign.”
