Former Trump administration communications director Anthony Scaramucci told MSNBC’s “Deadline” on Thursday that if former President Donald Trump continues to call Vice President Kamala Harris, it will help grow her support base.
“The sexism and attacks that worked in 2016, frankly, that Baby Boomer voters are accustomed to, are not to the liking of Gen X and Gen Z,” Scaramucci said. “President Trump still can’t throw a punch. He’s trying to find something to hit on VP Harris, but frankly, if he keeps doing that, calling her dumb as a rock or calling her the DEI candidate, hundreds of thousands of people are going to be waiting online for 10, 12 hours. They’re not going to have water, but they’re going to do everything they can to vote for VP Harris regardless.”
Regarding Trump’s pick for vice president, Scaramucci said, “I’m watching this fall apart spectacularly. Frankly, the chemistry between these two is just horrible. Nicole, watch the tape again. Take five minutes, look at the acceptance speech and look at Mr. Trump. It looked like he had a garbage sandwich in his mouth. I’m using euphemisms because we’re on air.”
She continued, “Trump can’t stand this guy. I’m telling you right now, he’s pissing off his staff. ‘I almost got killed by an assassin’s bullet. You guys put this guy on me. This guy is boring, he’s boring. Remember Trump is an actor and a casting director. Vance is not helping Trump. And here’s a dirty secret that everyone knows. Vance thinks he’s smarter than Trump. Trump hates that. Vance thinks this is the 2028 election. Donald Trump will fire anyone who gets more attention than him. Trust me, I know that. He’ll fire anyone who gets more attention.”
